Anambra Police Arrest 2 Suspects In Female Bank Manager’s Kidnap, Murder After 14 Million Naira Ransom Payment

The Anambra State Police Command has arrested two suspects, Monday Egbe (32) and Kenneth Nnoga (28), in connection with the kidnap and murder of a female bank manager.

The victim’s lifeless body was discovered on January 13, 2025, along Nnobi Road, Onitsha, with her eyes removed, after her family paid a ₦14 million ransom.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the suspects were arrested on May 28, 2025, following a tip-off that led operatives to their hideout in a neighboring state.

The police had been conducting diligent investigations into the case.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, the suspects are currently undergoing interrogation to provide further insight into the gang’s modus operandi and to aid in the arrest of other fleeing members.

The Command has assured that it would continue to protect lives and properties, follow up on all cases to their logical conclusion, and ensure justice is served.

The police command’s efforts in tracing the suspects to their hideout and apprehending them demonstrate their commitment to tackling crime and bringing perpetrators to justice.
