The Chairman of the Delta State Local Government Service Commission, Hon. (Dcn) Joseph Otirhue, has assured the wives of HPMs/TLGs and female HPMs/TLGs of the Commission’s unwavering support.
Otirhue made this commitment when he received the National Association of Wives of HPMs/TLGs and Female HPMs/TLGs (Delta State Chapter) at his office in Asaba.
The Commission Chairman praised the Association for its initiative in reviving the once-moribund group and commended their efforts in contributing to society.
He emphasized the importance of women’s roles in governance and development, stating that “what a man can do, a woman can do better.”
Otirhue assured the Association that the Commission would partner with them to achieve their goals and objectives and also pledged to work towards maintaining peace in their homes, recognizing that development can only thrive in a peaceful environment.
The President of the Association, Pst. Mrs. Ophe Ighomrore, thanked the Commission for the warm reception and formally introduced the Association to the Commission and appealed for support to foster the growth and development of the group.
The visit concluded with the presentation of gifts to the Commission Chairman and members.
