Elumelu Celebrates Chief Okwuofu on Birthday Anniversary, Describes Her As A Living Icon
Former Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, OON, has congratulated a renowned political leader in Delta State, Chief Nkem Okwuofu, on the occasion of her birthday anniversary today.
In a statement on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, Elumelu described Chief Okwuofu as a living legend, a great woman with high intellectual capacity who has contributed immensely to the state’s political landscape.

“As an inspirational figure, you have been a beacon of hope for many men, women, and youths, with your dogged determination and principled stance on issues.
“From your early days as Honourable Commissioner for Tourism and Local Government Affairs, through your transformative leadership as Chairman of the Civil Service Commission, and now in your esteemed role as a Member of the Delta State Advisory Council, you have remained a pillar of strength, wisdom, and purposeful governance.
“Your influence as a mother, mentor, and matriarch is felt across generations. You are not only a source of inspiration but also a living embodiment of selfless service and uncommon grace.
“Our beloved Mummy, as you mark another milestone today, I celebrate you, especially for your exceptional political leadership and unwavering commitment to public service, which has helped immensely in driving growth and development in our dear State, Delta,” Elumelu said.
He prayed to the Lord God Almighty to grant Chief Okwuofu continued good health, divine guidance, and many more years of fruitful service to the State and humanity in general.
