The President and Spiritual Leader of the Anioma Delta Baptist Conference, Rev’d Dr. Dike Godspower Utih, has emphasized the importance of finishing strong in life as a Christian and Minister of the Gospel.
Dr. Utih spoke on the topic “Running and Finishing Strong” at the Retirement Service in honour of Rev’d Dr. Sunday Nuonum, held at the Pilgrim Baptist Church, Issele-Uku in Aniocha North Local Government Area, Delta State
Dr. Utih noted that starting a race is one thing, but running and finishing it strongly is another.
He affirmed that finishing strong in any life endeavor is only possible through God’s help and power, citing 2 Timothy Chapter 4 verse 7 as his scriptural reference.
The charismatic Baptist Minister emphasized that obstacles and challenges may arise, but with God’s unfailing help, success and fulfillment are assured for those who trust in Him.
Dr. Utih congratulated Rev’d. Dr. Nuonum on his 44 years of service and admonished that a worthwhile legacy requires a good fight, applied faith, and finished work, which will be rewarded with a crown of glory.
He said, “There is something about finishing strong… Running and finishing the race can only be possible through the instrumentality of God… Fulfillment is of the Lord. He rewards and decorates those that are faithful to the end.”
The service, moderated by the Moderator of Pilgrim Baptist Association; Rev’d. Gabriel Okpala was attended by prominent figures, including the immediate past Conference President, Rev’d Dr. Paul Anyasi, the Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Baptist Convention; Rev’d Dr. Ese Igbigbije, Chairman of the Anioma Delta Baptist Conference; Rev’d Dr Monday Opone and Chairman of the Conference Pastors Fellowship; Rev’d Dr SamKennedy Onyenekwe.
