DELTA STATE’S FORMER HEAD OF SERVICE, BAYOKO FELICITATES SENATOR DR. IFEANYI OKOWA ON 66TH BIRTHDAY

Mr. Reginald Bayoko, mni, former Head of Service in Delta State, has congratulated Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Author Okowa, the immediate past Governor of Delta State, on his 66th birthday anniversary.

In a heartfelt birthday message, Bayoko described Okowa as a “rare breed of leader whose governance was defined by lasting impact rather than loud declarations”.

According to Bayoko, Okowa’s leadership style is characterized by quiet confidence, sharp intellect, and empathy, which enabled him to deliver tangible results in governance.

He noted that Okowa’s policies and projects have touched lives, citing the construction of roads and bridges that have connected people and improved their lives.

Bayoko also praised Okowa’s humanity, saying he has shown the ability to balance firmness with compassion, making him a father figure and a fierce reformer.

He described Okowa’s legacy as one of integrity, wisdom, and uncommon grace, even as he affirmed the former Governor’s journey as a masterclass in purposeful leadership.

“Today, we celebrate a man whose leadership is defined not by loud declarations, but by lasting impact. In a time when political titles are often louder than the substance behind them, you’ve stood out – a true statesman guided by purpose, intellect, and empathy.

“While others promised, you delivered. Your roads lead somewhere, your bridges connect people, and your policies touched lives. You turned governance into something visible, touchable – and deeply meaningful.

“Your style is proof that real authority doesn’t need theatrics. With quiet confidence and sharp intellect, you led with clarity and conviction. Your decisions were thoughtful, your actions consistent, and your presence reassuring.

“As a mentor, you’ve redefined influence. You lead by example, not by dominance. You inspire growth, not dependence. And in a political space crowded with performance, your authenticity shines through.

“Perhaps your greatest strength lies in your humanity – the ability to balance firmness with compassion, to be both a father figure and a fierce reformer. You remind us that service, at its best, uplifts both systems and souls.

“So today, on behalf of my entire family, we honour not just your birthday, but your to legacy in motion – one of integrity, wisdom, and uncommon grace”, Mr. Bayoko stated.

The former Head of Service prayed for Okowa’s continued good health, joy, and opportunities to shape lives in the years ahead.

Bayoko’s message remains an attestation of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa’s enduring impact on the lives of the people of Delta State and his reputation as a leader of unimpeachable character.
