The Executive Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government, Hon. Emma Bazim Chinye, has hosted a preparatory meeting for the first batch of Aniocha North Youth Empowerment Program, sponsored by Mosra Energy Limited. The program is part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative in partnership with the Aniocha North Local Government.
The meeting, held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at the Executive Chamber of the Local Government was attended by Councillours, Supervisors, President Generals and Community Youth Leaders in the area.
According to the Executive Chairman, the first phase of the youth empowerment program will involve 40 Aniocha North youths who will be trained in hairdressing, tailoring, catering, and electrical work. The empowerment package includes provision of necessary equipment, tools, and cash to rent shops in Aniocha North Local Government Area.
The Council boss emphasized that the selection process will be transparent and inclusive, with Councillors, President Generals, Community Youth Leaders, and critical stakeholders working together to identify deserving candidates.
He stressed that the beneficiaries must be individuals who truly need the empowerment and are ready to practice their trades in Aniocha North.
The meeting featured an interactive session where community representatives asked questions, and the Executive Chairman provided clarity on the program.
He emphasized that the success of the initiative will not only ensure its continuity but also attract more youth empowerment packages from notable sons and daughters of Aniocha North.
The Chairman, Forum of Aniocha North Local Government Area President Generals, Mr. Nwauge Ofordile, on behalf of the Forum and community youth leaders thanked the Executive Chairman for his transformative administration and good governance.
He also appreciated his regular engagements with the people and the effort to empower the youths and promote development in Aniocha North.
