The immediate past Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, OON, has praised Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s commitment to infrastructure development in Delta State as the Governor on Thursday October 16, 2025 performed the groundbreaking ceremony of the 12km Okpanam/Ugbolu Road in Oshimili North Local Government Area.
In a statement, Elumelu welcomed the Governor to Oshimili North and described the project as a proof of the Governor’s untiring commitment to infrastructure development in the state.
“This project is a clear attestation of His Excellency’s untiring commitment to infrastructure development in Delta State, and we are grateful for his vision and leadership,” Elumelu said.
The Okpanam/Ugbolu Road, according to Elumelu, “is a vital artery that will connect communities, facilitate trade, and improve the quality of life for the people.”
The renowned Politician and former Minority Leader, commended the Governor’s administration for prioritizing infrastructure development, saying he is confident that the road will be a game-changer for Oshimili North and Delta State as a whole.
“I commend His Excellency’s administration for prioritizing infrastructure development, and I am confident that this road will be a game-changer for Oshimili North and Delta State as a whole,” he said.
Elumelu also commended the Member Representing Oshimili North State Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon Frank Esenwa, the Executive Chairman of Oshimili North Local Government, Hon. Innocent Esewezie, and the leaders of Oshimili North Local Government Area for their efforts in supporting the Governor’s development agenda.
He appreciated residents of Oshimili North for turning out in large numbers, not minding the rain, to accord the Governor a rousing welcome, saying the commencement of the Okpanam/Ugbolu Road project is a demonstration of the Governor’s dedication to the state and the Local Government Area.
