The atmosphere was electric with gratitude, thanksgiving, and loyalty in Aniocha North Local Government Area on Wednesday, October 28, 2025, as the people gathered to celebrate the birthday anniversary of their Executive Chairman, Hon. Emmanuel Bazim Chinye, in a surprise package that left him visibly elated and overwhelmed with joy.
As Hon. Chinye stepped into the Council Chapel that faithful day, where he had planned a private thanksgiving fellowship with his wife, son, and a few officials, he was met with a sea of faces, including the Political class, led by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Nneka Clara Dibia, Civil Class, led by the Head of Personal Management, Mrs. Elizabeth Ojefia, and Leaders of the APC, led by the Chairman in the area, Sir Matthew Chinye.
The Chapel was beautifully decorated depicting the essence of the event with a well-adorned giant birthday cake, strategically positioned in the hall. The special birthday fellowship was marked with praise and worship songs from the Chapel Choir, leading the congregation in thanksgiving to God Almighty for adding another joyful year to the Executive Chairman’s life.
It was indeed a great moment for Hon. Emmanuel Bazim Chinye the wife and the Son as they joined the highly elated congregation in showing gratitude through dancing and singing to the Lord God Almighty for his birthday.
In his homily, the Chaplain, Rev Dr Akinbolade appreciated God for the life of the Executive Chairman which he noted has continued to bring glory to the name of the Lord God Almighty. He called on individuals to reflect on their personal lives and strive for integrity, faithfulness, honesty, and good works that bring glory to God.
The cleric emphasized the importance of individuals taking responsibility for shaping their own destinies, beyond the actions of their parents. He encouraged the congregation to examine their lives and consider how they can make a positive impact in their communities.
The Chaplain also highlighted the values of integrity, faithfulness, honesty, and good works, stressing that these are essential for living a life that brings glory to God even as he encouraged the celebrant and all members of the congregation to celebrate their good work and be beacons of hope and inspiration to others.
In his brief remarks, Hon. Emmanuel Bazim Chinye, who was visibly elated and overwhelmed with joy, expressed deep gratitude to God for His grace and mercy in his life. He acknowledged the profound support he has received from various quarters.
He urged everyone to give glory to God, referencing the fleeting nature of life and the importance of acknowledging God’s sovereignty.
On behalf of his wife and children, Hon. Chinye thanked all well-wishers who attended the special fellowship, emphasizing that the event was directed towards giving gratitude to God.
The Executive Chairman specifically thanked the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, for his support. He also expressed appreciation to the immediate past Governor of the State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, for his love.
Hon. Chinye further extended his gratitude to all political leaders in Aniocha North Local Government Area for their continued support to his administration. He assured them that he would continue to do the needful towards the translation of his administration vision of rebuilding Aniocha North into reality with the grace of God and through the continued support of the people.
Earlier that day, in a full page advertorial on Pointer Newspaper, the Head of Personal Management of the Council, Mrs Elizabeth Ojefia on behalf of the Local Government, leaders and the people of Aniocha North felicitated Hon. Emmanuel Bazim Chinye on his birthday anniversary, describing him as a “visionary leader whose passion and achievement continues to inspire tran transformation”.
The Local Government thanked God for his life and prayed to God to grant Hon Chinye many more years of good health, joy and continued success.
Also in a full page advertorial, tag, “Celebrating an Icon: Hon. Emmanuel Bazim Chinye On His Birthday,” the Vice Chairman, Hon. Nneka Dibia on behalf of 24 other top Political hierarchies in the Local Government administration, expressed their heartfelt felicitations to Hon Chinye, addressing him as their beloved leader.
“We appreciate God’s hand upon your life and join the people of Aniocha North and Delta State to celebrate this milestone. We pray for your good health, joy and many more fruitful years ahead,” the top Council officials stated in the advertorial.
The celebration was marked with a special prayer for the Council boss, his family, and his administration. Hon. Chinye later cut the birthday cake, joined by his wife, son, and top officials of the administration, as well as other organizations present at the surprise birthday event.
The branch Chairman of NULGE in Aniocha North Local Government Council, Comrade Collins Ogwugwua, led members of the Union to present a huge chest freezer to the Chairman as his birthday gift.
Guests were later entertained at the Executive Complex, where the Vice Chairman led members of the Political class to present birthday gifts to the Council Chairman, who was visibly surprised and overjoyed by the outpouring of love for him.
The special birthday fellowship was attended by several high-profile guests, including the National Treasurer of NULGE in Nigeria, High Comrade Ziko Okwudi, the Chief Job and Wealth Creation Officer of the State, Comrade Ifeanyi Egwunyenga, and the Executive Assistant to the State Governor, Engr. Fidel Onwodi.
