The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Aniocha North Local Government Area has successfully held its Ward Congress, marking a significant milestone with the election of new party officials across the 10 wards in the area.
The congress, the first since the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) collapsed its structure into the APC early last year, has reinforced the party’s growing unity and resolve.
Cshowcasenews.com reports from various wards within the Local government area revealed that the elections, held through consensus, saw the peaceful election of 27 executive members in each ward. The congress was overseen by two returning officers assigned to each ward, with the presence of officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security personnel ensuring a smooth and orderly process.

In separate interviews with journalists, party members expressed their satisfaction with the conduct of the congress, commending the peaceful election process.
Respondents emphasized the importance of inclusivity in the administration of the party, urging the newly elected officials to engage both leaders and members in a collaborative manner.
The newly elected ward chairmen across the 10 ward also expressed their commitment to advancing the APC’s cause at the grassroots level. They pledged to prioritize party unity, inclusiveness, and the supremacy of the APC as they work towards strengthening the party in their respective wards.
This congress, held after the PDP structure officially joined the APC last year, stands as a testament to the party’s readiness to function as a cohesive and united family, setting the stage for future successes in Aniocha North.
