The congress held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, in Issele-Uku, Ogwashi-Uku, Akwukwu-Igbo and Asaba, produced new Local Government Area Party Chairmen and executives through a consensus-driven process widely acknowledged by party faithful as transparent and harmonious.

In a statement on Sunday, Rt. Hon. Elumelu described the conduct of the congress as a reflection of growing political discipline and responsible leadership within the APC structure in the federal constituency. He observed that the ability of party stakeholders to align interests and adopt a common front underscore a renewed sense of direction and shared aspiration among party members in the Councils and the Delta State.

According to him, the outcome of the exercise is a strong signal that the party in Aniocha/Oshimili is prepared to place collective progress above personal ambition. He noted that the consensus model adopted across the four Local Government Areas demonstrated restraint, consultation, and mutual respect among leaders and the grassroots.

The former Minority Leader congratulated the newly elected Chairmen and the other party executives, expressing confidence in their capacity to strengthen party administration, expand grassroots engagement, and inspire confidence among members.

He charged the new leaders to approach their responsibilities with fairness, openness, and dedication, urging them to see their emergence not merely as a victory, but as a call to service. He emphasized the need for them to foster inclusiveness and deepen collaboration across wards and party blocs in order to consolidate unity within the fold.

Elumelu further acknowledged the maturity displayed by party elders, aspirants, and members who embraced dialogue and accommodation in the interest of stability. He maintained that such political civility provides a solid foundation for sustainable growth and electoral competitiveness.

Calling on party faithful to give their full backing to the new leadership, Elumelu stressed that enduring success can only be achieved when members remain focused on shared goals and collective advancement.

He wished the Chairmen and their executives a productive and impactful tenure, expressing optimism that their stewardship would usher in a new phase of strengthened organization and purposeful leadership for the APC in Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency and Delta State.
