Aniocha North APC Passes Confidence Vote In Tinubu, Oborevwori, Endorses Them As Sole Candidates For 2027 …As Party Resolves To Work Together In Peace, Unity, Forgiveness 

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Aniocha North Local Government Area, Delta State, has passed a vote of implicit confidence in President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori

At a meeting of leaders and stakeholders of the party in the area held on Monday at Camp Benjamin, Obior, and presided over by the Chairman of APC in the area, Sir Mathew Chinye, the party also adopted the two as the sole candidates of the APC for the presidential and gubernatorial elections in 2027.

The meeting was attended by notable leaders, including the former Deputy Governor of the state, Chief Benjamin Elue, immediate past Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, Member of the State Advisory and Elders Council; Chief Nkem Okwuofu, former Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr. Victor Ochei, leader of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Engr Emeka Nwaobi, Executive Chairman of Aniocha North; Hon. Emmanuel Chinye, Former Majority Leader of the State House of Assembly; Hon. Barrister Krees Njiokwuemeni, former Commissioner in the State, Dr. Anthonia Ashiedu; Board Chairman Abuja Specialist Hospital, Dr. Ikechukwu Odikpo; and former acting Chairman of APC in the State; Barrister Cyprian Ashibuogwu.

The immediate past Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu prompted the need for the party in the area to pass an implicit confidence vote in the President and the Governor, as well as their endorsement as sole candidates for 2027.

The motion was moved by the former Majority Leader of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Barrister Krees Njiokwuemeni, and seconded by the incumbent Leader of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Emeka Nwaobi. The former Speaker of the State Assembly, Rt. Hon. Victor Ochei, who supervised that part of the meeting, put the motion to a vote, and it was unanimously passed.

The leaders of the APC in the area also unanimously resolved to come together as one indivisible family towards working in forgiveness, peace, unity, and progress in the interest of the party in Aniocha North.

Speakers at the meeting, including Chief Benjamin Elue, Sir Mathew Chinye, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, Chief Nkem Okwuofu, Rt. Hon. Engr. Victor Ochei, Hon. Engr . Emeka Nwaobi, Barrister Cyprian Ashibuogwu, Hon. Emmanuel Bazim Chinye, and Dr. Anthonia Ashiedu emphasized the need to let bygones be bygones, forgive one another, and work sincerely for the interest of the party.

The party also agreed to eliminate any form of  suspicions by integrating all members, regardless of their previous party affiliations, and affirmed that the party belongs to everyone, emphasizing that no individual or group owns or controls the party.

To promote unity, the party resolved to replicate the meeting at the ward level to convey a message of togetherness, peace, unity, and forgiveness to the grassroots, even as a 7-man integration committee was agreed to be formed to develop an integration plan, and an expanded leaders and stakeholders meeting agreed also to be held.

The APC Aniocha  North Leaders and Stakeholders meeting was also attended by other notable leaders, including Dr. Ifeanyi Michael Osuoza, Commissioner for Special Duties, Government House; Hon. Jaunty Okwudi; Hon. Chuks Ojei; Comrade Ifeanyi Egwunyenga; Hon. Clara Nneka Dibia; Mrs. Mary Ebaegbe; Hon. Felix Eke; Ogbuefi Nnamdi Mohanye; Dr. Charles Ochei; Comrade Nnamdi Okwufulueze Ofonye; Prince Michael Osionye Chinye; Sir Jossy Honnah; Engr. Fidel Onwodi; and Hon. Kevin Okwechime.

Other attendees included Chief Ephraim Osubor, Hon. Nkem Osu, Chief Brian Iwendi, Chief Peter Okonkwo, Hon. Tobe Ukwamedua, Ike Uwuagwu, Dr. Amaechi Okobia, Dr. Ogwugwua Ezeagwu, Comrade Iyke Nwaoko, Architect Val Kogolo, Hon. Nnabudo Chinye, Hon. Ndubuisi Osemene, Comrade Peter Inogbo, Chief Ben Anazia, Hon. Benjamin Jikeme, Okwudili Amuabunaose, Clement Nwaeme, Dr. Alex Awuno, Chief Roy Umunna, Hon. Rafael Uzor, Hon. Frank Iweka, Hon. Fred Nwaojei and Mrs. Stalle Okeke, among others who joined in attending this significant meeting.
