Aniocha North Council Boss, Hon. Chinye Pledges to Sustain, Prioritize Workers’ Welfare, As He Receives Forum Of NULGE Chairmen On Courtesy Visit 

The Executive Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government in Delta State, Hon. Emmanuel Bazim Chinye, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to prioritizing workers’ welfare while maintaining the existing cordial working relationship between NULGE and the council management.

Hon. Chinye spoke on Thursday, June 19, 2025, while hosting the Chairman and members of the Forum of NULGE Chairmen in Delta State, who were in his office on a courtesy visit at Issele-Uku.

The Council Chairman, represented by his Special Adviser, Hon. Ndubuisi Osemene, commended the NULGE leaders for the visit and highlighted his administration’s efforts in providing good governance to the people of Aniocha North in line with his administration’s vision to rebuild the Area as stipulated in his MORE GAINS mantra

He noted the synergy between the NULGE branch Union in Aniocha North, the State Chapter and even the National body with the elevation of the immediate past State President, Comrade Ziko Okwudi to the National body as the National Treasurer, maintaining that his administration has been working closely with the union in all efforts in the translation of his Administration’s vision of rebuilding Aniocha North into action.

The Council boss applauded the leadership qualities of Comrade Ziko Okwudi and the branch Chairman in Aniocha North, Comrade Collins Ogwugwua and   revealed that the Aniocha North NULGE Event Centre, completed by his administration, would be among projects to be commissioned soon to mark the administration’s first-year anniversary.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Forum of NULGE Chairmen, Comrade Emiko Raymond, commended the unity and synergy between NULGE and the Aniocha North Local Government management.

He expressed gratitude to Hon. Emmanuel Bazim Chinye for prioritizing workers’ welfare and establishing a cordial working relationship with the union.

Comrade Raymond described the relationship between the management and the union as exemplary, saying, “It’s very difficult to see a council where the management and the union are at peace.” He appreciated Hon. Chinye for completing the NULGE Event Centre, which he said was a testament to the good working relationship between NULGE and the council management.

The highlight of the visit was a confidence vote in Hon. Emmanuel Bazim Chinye’s administration by the Forum.

Meanwhile, the Forum of NULGE Chairmen in Delta State issued a communique after its meeting held on Thursday, June 19, 2025, in Issele-Uku, Aniocha North Local Government Area.

The meeting, attended by all 25 NULGE Branch Chairmen, resolved as follows:

The Forum appreciated the unity among stakeholders in the 25 Local Government Councils and noted the people-oriented projects undertaken by Council Chairmen.

They congratulated High Comrade Ziko Okwudi on his elevation to the Position of NULGE National Treasurer and commended Hon. Emma Chinye’s administration in Aniocha North for completing the impressive NULGE Event Centre for the benefit of the body of workers and the people of the area in general.

The Forum also noted the synergy between Local Government Chairmen and staff, attributing it to the Union’s effectiveness in collective bargaining principles.

They discussed the precarious security situation in most council areas and advocated for more aggressive and proactive measures to mitigate crime.

In a gesture of goodwill, the Forum congratulated the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, on his 62nd birthday and prayed for his continued good health, long life, and prosperity, even as they appreciated Aniocha North Local Government Council for hosting the meeting and providing a conducive environment.
