The Executive Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Bazim Chinye, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of renowned businessman and community leader, Chief Nuel Ojei, describing his death as a great loss to Issele-Uku Kingdom and the entire Aniocha North Local Government Area.
In a condolence message on Monday, December 29, 2025, Hon. Chinye, on behalf of the Government and the people of Aniocha North, extended heartfelt sympathies to the family of the deceased, the entire people of Issele-Uku and Aniocha North at large.
According to the Chairman, the late Chief Nuel Ojei was not only a distinguished son of the soil but also a man of rare wisdom, integrity, and unwavering commitment to the peace, unity, and development of his community.
“The demise of Chief Nuel Ojei is a profound loss, not only to his immediate family but to the entire Issele-Uku Kingdom and Aniocha North at large,” the statement read. “He was a man whose life was defined by service, humility, and dedication to the common good.”
Hon. Chinye noted that the late elder statesman made remarkable contributions to community development, cultural preservation, economic growth, and social harmony, adding that his counsel and leadership would be greatly missed.
He further described Chief Ojei as a man whose life exemplified selflessness and commitment to humanity, stressing that his legacy would continue to inspire generations.
“At this moment of grief, I urge the family, friends, and the entire Issele-Uku community to take solace in the impactful life he lived and the indelible mark he has left on our society,” the Chairman stated. “Though he is gone, his values and good works will forever remain alive in our hearts.”
Hon. Chinye prayed for God’s comfort for the bereaved family and the repose of the soul of the departed, asking the Almighty to grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
He concluded the message by paying glowing tribute to the late community leader, describing him as “a true son of the soil whose memory will forever be cherished.”
