Speaking at the meeting, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu affirmed that there was no hidden agenda behind the e-registration exercise, stressing that it is mandatory for all party members, whether old or new. He urged members to shun divisive tendencies and embrace unity, describing the APC in Aniocha North as one indivisible family bound by shared goals and values.

Elumelu emphasized that the e-registration was in the overall interest of the party and had been duly mandated by the President and leader of the party, adding that there was no reason for suspicion about the credibility of the exercise. He also addressed concerns surrounding empowerment forms from the Presidency, noting that issues raised were treated and resolved, with assurances that all wards, leaders and critical stakeholders were adequately carried along in the distribution and collation process.

On party congresses, the former lawmaker maintained that congresses should not be a source of division but a mechanism for strengthening the party for greater effectiveness. He called on members to accept the outcomes of congresses in good faith, stressing that all processes would be conducted openly and transparently. According to him, the congresses are a win-win process, as everyone would continue to be carried along as the party positions itself for victory in the general elections.

Looking ahead to the 2027 general elections, Elumelu charged members to work assiduously for the success of the party at all levels. He reminded party faithful that the wife of the President hails from Delta State, noting that it was expected that the state, and Aniocha North in particular, should rank among the top areas in terms of vote delivery for the APC.

“We are praying that when results are announced after the general election, we should rank number one. That will give us the moral strength to ask Mr President for anything. Let us not divide ourselves; let us be united to fight our fight as a family,” he said.

Elumelu further expressed confidence in the future of the party in Aniocha North, describing APC as the political home of its members. He commended the Executive Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Bazim Chinye, for his commitment, inclusive leadership style and strong relationship with leaders, youths, women, traditional rulers and other segments of society. He also praised the councillors for their support and described Hon. Chinye as one of the best performing council chairmen in Delta State.
