Renowned political leader and member of the Delta State Advisory/Elders Council, Chief Nkem Okwuofu, has congratulated the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, on his appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the South-South Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Initiative.
In a statement on Tuesday, Chief Okwuofu described the appointment as “a strategic and impactful choice that underscores Senator Okowa’s longstanding commitment to national unity, political stability, and inclusive development.” She noted that Senator Okowa’s vast experience, calm leadership, and proven capacity in governance make him exceptionally suited to drive the Renewed Hope vision in the South-South region.
According to her, the appointment is not only an attestation of Senator Okowa’s towering political stature but also “a major boost to the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, especially in deepening socio-economic advancement, strengthening national cohesion, and improving the wellbeing of Nigerians.”
Chief Okwuofu commended Senator Okowa’s contributions to national politics, particularly his bridge-building roles, his dedication to democratic consolidation, and his efforts in fostering harmony across party and regional lines. She stated that his new role provides him with a broader platform to sustain these contributions for the benefit of the South-South and the nation at large.
