The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has commended his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Nkem Nwaeke, for his hard work, dedication, and diligence to duties.
Guwor made the commendation during a press briefing at the State Assembly Complex in Asaba, held to mark the second anniversary of the 8th Assembly.
The Speaker praised Nwaeke for being a “wonderful ally” and for his great support to the office of the Speaker and the Assembly.
Guwor encouraged Nwaeke to continue his good work, acknowledging the critical role he plays in promoting the Assembly’s activities.
Guwor also lauded journalists in the state for their coverage of the Assembly’s activities, noting that their efforts make the Assembly’s work more accessible to the public, as he assured that the Assembly would continue to work with media practitioners to ensure that Deltans receive the best from their legislature.
The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Delta State Council, Comrade Churchill Oyovwe, commended the Speaker for the Assembly’s legislative vibrancy and open-door policy with the press.
Oyovwe also praised Nwaeke for his team spirit and high standards, while soliciting for enhanced welfare packages for press team members covering the Assembly.
