The immediate past Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, OON, has celebrated the former Governor of Delta State, Chief James Ibori, on his 67th birthday anniversary, describing him as an accomplished statesman.
In a congratulatory message to Chief Ibori on Monday, Elumelu extolled Chief Ibori as “a great leader with tremendous courage, who played and continues to play key roles towards the growth, stability and economic development of not only Delta State but also the Niger Delta Region and Nigeria as a whole”.
Elumelu applauded Chief Ibori’s roles towards resource control in the Niger Delta, adding that his determination in that direction led to unprecedented development in the region and Delta State in particular.
The Immediate past Minority Leader celebrated Chief Ibori’s legacies, noting that his achievements during his tenure as Governor continues to inspire good governance and associated benefits to the people under successive administrations in the State.
“On behalf of the Elumelu family, the people of Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, and the entire Delta State, I congratulate Chief Ibori on this auspicious occasion and wish him good health, joy, and fruitful years ahead.
“I pray to God to grant him divine strength, wisdom, and many more opportunities to continue to serve our state, nation, and humanity at large,” Elumelu stated.
