The immediate past Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, OON, has reiterated his untiring commitment to youth development and empowerment in Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, as he received on courtesy call the leadership of the Delta North College of Youth at his country home in Onicha-Uku, Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State.
The visit, which took place on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, was an appreciation visit by the leadership of the Delta North College of Youth (Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency) in recognition of Rt. Hon. Elumelu’s immense support, encouragement, and sustained commitment to the growth and activities of the College.
The delegation, drawn from the various Local Government Areas that make up the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, was coordinated by Comrade Raymond Omesiete and Engr. Ideh Yobo.
Speaking on behalf of the group, the youth leaders expressed profound gratitude to the former Minority Leader for his consistent moral backing, strategic guidance, and open-door leadership style, which they said have significantly strengthened the College and boosted the confidence of youths across Delta North.
They noted that Rt. Hon. Elumelu’s interventions over the years have reinforced the Delta North College of Youth as a credible platform for youth engagement, leadership development, advocacy, and constructive participation in governance and community development.
In a colourful and symbolic gesture, the youth leaders honoured the renowned politician and accomplished federal lawmaker by adorning him with the Anioma traditional attire, (akwa-ocha), and presenting him with an impressive customised appreciation card as a symbol of their love, respect, and gratitude.

Responding, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu thanked the delegation for the honour and described the visit as deeply encouraging. He commended the leadership of the Delta North College of Youth for their vision, unity, discipline, and sense of purpose, noting that such attributes are essential for building responsible and impactful future leaders.
Elumelu reaffirmed his belief in the College as a vital institution for grooming youths for leadership and assured the delegation of his continued support, guidance, and partnership in advancing youth-driven initiatives within the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency.
He also used the occasion to commend the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, for his commitment to youth development, noting that the Governor’s confidence in the capacity of young people has informed their deliberate inclusion across all sectors of governance in the state.
The visit ended on a note of mutual appreciation and renewed commitment to strengthening youth participation in leadership and development across Delta North and Delta State as a whole.
