As Nigeria celebrates its 65th Independence Anniversary, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, OON, Minority Leader of the 9th House of Representatives, has called on Nigerians to renew their hope and rally around their leaders to build a strong, united, and prosperous nation.
In a statement on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, Elumelu emphasized the importance of collective commitment to national unity and values that bind Nigerians together as one indivisible family.
Despite the challenges facing the nation, he urged Nigerians to support their leaders in building a nation founded on democracy, rule of law, freedom, peaceful co-existence, equality, tolerance, transparency, good governance, and credible elections.
Elumelu also highlighted the need for leaders to prioritize inclusiveness, accountability, and the security and well-being of citizens. He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, noting that it demonstrates a commitment to these values.
The renowned Politician and Lawmaker expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future, citing the potential for growth and development through concerted efforts and support from stakeholders. He also praised Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s development-driven stewardship in Delta State, which he said serves as a model for other states.
While congratulating President Tinubu, Governor Oborevwori, Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, Delta State and all Nigerians on the occasion of the 65th Independence Anniversary, Elumelu prayed for God’s protection and guidance as the nation moves forward, seeking a brighter future for all Nigerians.
