PASAN Delta State Local Government Chapter Elects New Officials … Newly Elected Chairman Pledges Inclusive Leadership

The Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) Delta State Local Government Chapter has successfully elected new officers to manage its affairs for the next four years.

The election took place on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at the Oshimili South Local Government Council Secretariat in Asaba, Delta State.

A three-man electoral committee, led by Comrade Andy Ihieme, conducted the election, which was observed by prominent national officers, including Comrade Siso Simon, PASAN National Vice President South-South, Comrade Emma Edozie, National Ex-Officio member, and Comrade Epabitimi Appah, Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA) PASAN Chairman.

The elected officials include: Comrade Ufuoma Anthony, returned unopposed as State Chairman, Comrade Omasan Popo, Vice Chairman, Comrade Sunny Agbeyeke, returned unopposed as State Secretary and Comrade Ellis Essu, Treasurer.

Comrade Omonigho Henry was returned as the Public Relations Officer (PRO), Comrade Omans Enemigin, Financial Secretary, Comrade Isoje Florence, Welfare Officer, and Comrade Mike Monye as the Ex-Officio member

The national officers and observers commended the electoral process, describing it as credible and in line with established rules.

They praised the outgoing Chairman, Comrade Michael Monye, for his proactive leadership and ensuring a level playing field for all aspirants.

The newly elected executives were urged to demonstrate selfless and responsible leadership skills, working towards the association’s continued growth and success.

Comrade Michael Monye, the outgoing Chairman, congratulated the new leadership, highlighted the achievements of the previous executives, and pledged to continue advising and contributing to the association’s viability.

The newly elected State Chairman of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) Delta State Local Government Chapter, Comrade Ufuoma Anthony, expressed gratitude to members for entrusting him with the leadership role.

On behalf of the new executives, he pledged to adopt an inclusive approach, working closely with all members to advance the association’s interests.

Comrade Ufuoma commended the electoral committee and national officers for their role in ensuring a successful and credible election and assured that the new leadership would work diligently to propel the association forward, building on the foundation laid by previous executives.

The highpoint of the event was the swearing-in of the new officials, administered by Comrade Emma Edozie, National Ex-Officio member.
