High Chief (Dr.) Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has thrown his weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s bid for re-election in 2027. Tompolo described President Tinubu as a visionary and transformational leader who deserves another term to consolidate on his achievements.
The endorsement was contained in a goodwill message delivered on Tompolo’s behalf by Mr. Edgar Daniel Biu at the World Press Conference of the PBAT Door-To-Door Movement held at the NAF Conference Centre in Abuja.
Tompolo highlighted the remarkable successes recorded by Tinubu’s administration, particularly in promoting national unity and improving the economy.
According to Tompolo, President Tinubu’s economic reforms have rescued the national economy from imminent collapse, improved the ease of doing business, and fostered shared prosperity.
He also commended the president’s commitment to development and security in the Niger Delta, noting the prevailing peace and stability in the region.
Tompolo praised Tinubu’s administration for its decisive action against crude oil theft, pipeline vandalism, and sea piracy, which had previously disrupted oil production and stifled socio-economic growth, even as he expressed confidence that Tinubu would achieve even more in a second term and urged Nigerians to rally behind the president.
The PBAT Door-To-Door Movement, Tompolo said, aims to mobilize nationwide support for Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 and called on members to stay committed to the movement’s objectives, declaring, “Together, we will succeed. We cannot afford to fail.” With Tompolo’s endorsement, the movement is expected to gain momentum in its bid to secure Tinubu’s re-election.
