Chairman of the UBA Group and Chairman of Heirs Holdings, Dr. Tony O. Elumelu, CFR, and his younger brother, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, OON, the immediate past Minority Leader of the House of Representatives have condoled the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Ms Emem Usoro as she laid her mother, Mama Enoh Usoro to rest in her home town in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State last Saturday.
The Elumelus were in attendance at the funeral service held at the Federal government college, Ikot Ekpene and reception at Four Points By Sheraton Hotel in Ikot Ekpene which brought together, top Nigerian leaders including Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Governors Agbu Kefas of Taraba State and his Zamfara State counterpart Dauda Lawal, Chief of Staff to the President, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, Chairman, House Committee on Defence, Rt. Hon. Babajimi Benson, Lead Pastor of Streams of Joy International, Pastor Jerry Ezeh among other dignitaries.

The service was marked by heartfelt tributes from eminent figures who celebrated the impactful life and legacy of Mama Enoh Usoro as speakers after speakers described her as a woman of deep faith, virtue, and strength whose influence extended beyond her family to the larger community.
Paying tribute to her, Dr. Tony Elumelu extolled Mama Usoro as a humble and devout servant of God, a compassionate soul and very caring mother who dedicated her life in the service of God and humanity and left resounding legacies that would impact generations to come.
Similarly, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu described Mama Usoro as a courageous and loving mother; a virtuous woman who lived as an epitome of love, humility, hardwork and honesty. He expressed his condolences to the Usoro family and prayed for God’s comfort and strength to sustain them during this period of loss.
Both brothers offered words of encouragement to Ms. Emem Usoro, who until her appointment as CBN Deputy Governor was an Executive Director of the UBA.
The presence of top political, business and spiritual leaders points to the legacies of Mama Usoro and the deep respect and admiration held for Ms. Emem Usoro and her family across the country.
