A prominent Nigerian entrepreneur and philanthropist, Chief Elvis Chukwudi Okonji, has donated the sum of N20 million specifically for the purchase of the 2027 House of Representatives Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for Rt. Hon. Ndudi Godwin Elumelu, OON.
The donation was made on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Okonji’s residence in Shoreline Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos, during a consultation visit by Elumelu as part of his political engagements ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
Speaking during the visit, Chief Elvis Chukwudi Okonji, a native of Ibusa in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, expressed strong confidence in Elumelu’s leadership capacity, experience, and track record. He further pledged to contribute financially to the main election campaign, reaffirming his commitment to the success of Elumelu’s aspiration.
Earlier, Rt. Hon. Elumelu who was accompanied to the visit by members of his Campaign Council, informed his host of his intention to contest for the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.
The former Minority Leader stressed that his decision to return to the National Assembly is driven by the urgent need to reposition the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency to its former stature and effectiveness in legislative business, for the overall benefit of the people.
Elumelu noted that his experience, ranking, and proven performance in the House of Representatives place him in a strong position to deliver impactful representation and attract meaningful development to the constituency.
Chief Okonji, Chairman and Managing Director of GPC Energy and Logistics Limited, a leading heavy-duty haulage and supply chain firm based in Lagos, is widely recognized for his contributions to enterprise development and philanthropy.
The consultation visit is part of Elumelu’s broader engagements with stakeholders and supporters as he builds momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.
