The funeral ceremony attracted a large gathering of dignitaries from within and outside Delta State who came to pay their last respects to the deceased matriarch, whose life was distinguished by her deep faith in God, compassion for others, selfless service, and dedication to the unity and well-being of her family.
The remains of Late Mrs. Ezinne Justina Adaolie Dibia were interred at her husband’s country home in Idumuje-Unor, Aniocha North Local Government Area, following a solemn funeral mass held at Saint Mathew Catholic Church, Idumuje-Unor.

The Executive Chairman had earlier, in a letter of condolence addressed to the Vice Chairman, expressed deep sympathy on behalf of his family, the Government, and people of Aniocha North.
According to him, although the loss of a mother is painful because of the immeasurable love and care mothers bestow on their children, the family should take solace in the remarkable life she lived and the positive impact she made on those around her.
He prayed God to grant Hon. Nneka Dibie, members of the Dibia family and all loved ones the fortitude, strength and divine comfort needed to bear the irreparable loss, while also praying for the peaceful repose of the deceased’s soul.

The Association of Local Government Vice Chairmen of Nigeria (ALGOVC), Delta State Chapter, also conveyed its heartfelt condolences to Hon. Nneka Dibie, describing the passing of her mother as a painful and irreplaceable loss.
In a condolence message signed by its Chairman, Hon. Uju Okolo, the association stated that mothers remain pillars of love, guidance and strength, noting that the memories they leave behind continue to provide comfort and inspiration to their families.
The association assured the Vice Chairman of its prayers and solidarity, while asking God to grant the departed eternal rest and her family the strength to endure the period of mourning.
One of the most emotional moments of the ceremony came during the tribute by Hon. Nneka Clara Dibie, who described her late mother as “an angel on earth” and “the very best.”
In a heartfelt tribute filled with emotion, the Vice Chairman recalled her mother as a wise counsellor, a peacemaker, a great cook and a woman whose heart was full of forgiveness and unconditional love.
“There are not enough words to express how much my mother meant to me. She was my source of comfort and strength. Though you are gone from our sight, your love, kindness, wisdom and memories will remain forever in our hearts,” she stated.
She further described her late mother as a treasure whose departure has left a void that can never be completely filled, praying that her soul continues to rest in perfect peace.
The burial rites were followed by a colourful and well-attended reception at the Nkwo Primary School Field, Idumuje-Unor, where guests were lavishly entertained amidst music, cultural displays and heartfelt celebrations of a life well lived.
