Association of Local Government of Nigeria, ALGON, Delta State Chapter has paid a condolence visit to one of it’s member, The Executive Chairman of Warri North Local Government Area, Hon Smart Yomi Atsekutu on Monday, August 14th, 2023, who lost his wife recently.
We came as soon as we heard of what happened, Dr Richard Kofi who was speaking on behalf of the delegation said. “We were mandated to reach out to you, we feel your pains”. It’s not a good thing to lost a dear one. We are here as an association. Your pain is our pain. We will and want to be actively involved in the burial ceremony. We will be there to support you in your time of need, he said
Responding, Hon Smart Yomi Atsekutu said, “I want to thank ALGON as a body and the respective council chairmen that are here”. I will communicate to you how and when you can be involved. I truly appreciate you all for coming he said.
In the delegation to condole with Hon Smart Yomi Atsekutu include Executive Chairman of Sapele Local Government Area, Hon Eugene Inoaghan, Executive Chairman of Ethiope West Local Government Area, Hon Nelson Oghenedoro Owoso, and Executive Chairman of Burutu Local Government Area, Hon Godknows Angele.
