Aniocha North Local Government 7th Legislative Assembly Winds Down In A Valedictory Session …As Leader Appreciates Members

The Legislative Arm of Aniocha North Local Government, Delta State, Thursday, March 7, 2024 in an exceptional sitting, laden with positive emotions ended it’s 7th Assembly in a Valedictory Session.

The Session presided by the Leader, Hon. Chukwunwike Okonkwor was attended by the Deputy Leader, Hon. Okem Abolo and other members of the 7th Legislative Assembly.

It was a Valedictory Session where the Leader and members looked back on how they started three years ago and appreciated God for bringing them together to work for the people of Aniocha North.

Taking the lead, the Leader, Hon. Chukwunwike Okonkwor who was at a stage, overwhelmed with positive emotions, appreciated members for electing him as their leader and for their support and cooperation throughout the period of the 7th Assembly of the Legislative Arm.

He said that as a leader all his actions and decisions were propelled by his love and passion for the betterment of the Legislative Arm and in the overwhelming interest of the people of Aniocha North.

“I know that some people would have felt pained over some of our decisions.

“Some of the decisions made were beyond our control to taking them personally, but with wide consultations we made them.

“I want us to understand that every decision taken here was taken after due considerations and consultations to the betterment of this Assembly and in the overwhelming interest of the people of Aniocha North,” he said.

He commended the members for their comportment, commitment, Unity and peace that reigned supreme throughout the period of the 7th Legislative Assembly, saying that, indeed they disagreed to agree to the betterment of the entire people of Aniocha North who gave them mandate to represent them in the Local Government.

“On behalf of my family, the people of Idumu-Ogo and Ugboba, I want to sincerely thank everyone, including our leaders that made the 7th Legislative Assembly a successful one,” he said

The Deputy Leader, and other members, took their turns and appreciated God for making it possible for them to witness the successful completion of their Legislative tenure.

They also appreciated their people and their leaders in their various wards for giving them the opportunity to represent and serve the Local Government Area as Councillors for a period of three years.

The councillors commended the leader for his charisma and ability to carry every member along in the running of the affairs of the 7th Legislative Assembly.

They all maintained that the peace and unity that reigned supreme throughout the period of the 7th Legislative Assembly was as a result of the unique leadership qualities displayed by the Leader.

The Councillors appreciated the people of Aniocha North for their support and said they did their utmost best in joining the Executive to bring about democratic dividends to them in all the wards within the area.

They also appreciated the Clerk and other Legislative staff of the Local Government and said that they were positively critical in the successful completion of the 7th Legislative Assembly of the Aniocha North Local Government Legislative Arm.

The session was later brought to a close upon a motion to that effect moved by Hon Queen Ukamaka Ndubuokwu, seconded by Hon Patrick Mgbakwulu
