Anioma Delta Baptist Conference 10th Annual Session: CP, Rev. Dr. Anyasi Speaks On Kingdom Solidarity

Conference President and Spiritual Leader, Anioma Delta Baptist, Rev. Dr. Paul Anyasi has admonished the Church of God on the need to be united in love with a view to keeping the Church alive.

He said where there is no love and unity in a Church, the Church is dead and rotten, even as he maintained that love gives warmth to the Church while unity gives it life.

Rev. Anyasi spoke on Friday while ministering at the ongoing annual session of the Anioma Delta Baptist Conference being held at the Unity Baptist Church, Alihame, Agbor, Delta State.

He called on the Conference to be united in love as one body with a view to moving the Conference to another level of glory, noting that nothing will stop a people who are united in love from achieving their God given goals and aspirations.

Dr. Anyasi while exposing the theme of the Annual Session, “Kingdom People for Kingdom Solidarity”, described a kingdom as a group of people with common characteristics ruled by a king, saying that the Kingdom of God is a realm where God rules over all His creation.

“The Church typically can be referred to as the Kingdom of God, the Church is the domain of God, the Church is where God exercises dominion, the Church is where God exercises rule.

“Anybody who believes, who comes into the Church, automatically becomes a member of the Kingdom of God.

He said that the Kingdom of God is not limited to a geographical entity or physical realm, but encompasses God’s authority and presence in the heart of believers.

He maintained that for God to rule in the hearts of believers, their hearts must be completely connected to God in Spirit, Soul and Mind, noting that hearts not connected to God, become crazy and evil.

“When our hearts process what is righteous, our attitude will be right. If our hearts process what is wrong, our output will be wrong. Sometimes it can be right, sometimes it can be wrong,” he said and noted that when the heart does not submit to the realm of God’s dominion, the output will always be wrong.

The Conference President said the Church remains a unique family, bonded by our affinity with God for the transformation of the heart, saying transformed hearts easily submit to God’s rule and dominion.

The Spiritual Leader of the Baptist denomination in Delta North District, admonished members of the Conference to be an encouragement to one another, affirming that nobody is perfect, rather all are saved through the grace and mercy of God.

“God looks out for honesty and not for perfection. He wants us to encourage one another and not to condemn one another, Anyasi admonished and said the church exists not to bring down one another, but to build one another.

He further said, those who identify themselves as followers of Jesus Christ and members of the kingdom, should imbibe the spirit of love, unity, forgiveness, empathy, fairness and justice that Jesus Christ is known for.

“The Church is sick when there is no oneness, love, unity, forgiveness, empathy, fairness and justice.

“The Church dies not because of Satan, but because of the attitude of believers, an attitude that is inspired by Satan.

“What makes us united as a kingdom is when we cover one another’s weaknesses. Oil refreshes, dew waters.

“Unity will always keep the Church alive and for God to answer our corporate prayers, our hearts must be united.

“The power of God will come down when the hearts are united. The only thing that will make us strong is our unity.

“It is what we put into the Conference that we will get. Let us support one another, let us put in more effort. Since we have created a centre, let us support the centre because we are labourers.

“If the Anioma Delta Baptist Conference must go forward, we must support one another. In doing the work of God, forget about who takes the glory. Love and unity are the two things that are very important in the Church,” the Conference President concluded.

Earlier on Thursday and Friday, the annual session featured organizational meetings where the various organs of the Conference met to articulate a way forward for the Conference.

The Conference President in consonance with his official duties was at the various meetings of these Organs, accompanied by the Conference Chairman, Rev Dr. Monday Opone and the immediate past Conference Chairman, Rev. Sunday Ossai where he gave his fraternal greetings and spoke extensively on kingdom Solidarity.
