As part of efforts of the Delta State Government in assuring the full compliance of the Covid-19 interstate lockdown in the state, the Secretary to the Government of the State, Barr. Chiedu Ebie has visited the state borders at Ebu and Idumuje Ugboko in Oshimili-North & Aniocha North Local Government Areas respectively.
Barr. Ebie was accompanied on the inspection by officials of the State Government that included the Commissioner for Youth Development Comrade Egwunyenga Ifeanyi, the Senior Special Assistant to the State Governor on health Monitoring and member of the Delta State Covid- 19 Enforcement committee, Dr Michael Nwoko amongst others
He remarked that the essence of the inspection was to ensure strict compliance with the inter-state border lockdown geared towards curbing the spread of COVID-19 across Nigeria.
The SSG expressed satisfaction with the compliance level and urged the security agencies and the Taskforce on Boundary Enforcement to intensify effort at ensuring that no unauthorized vehicles and passengers enter into the state during the period of the lockdown.
