Dame Okwuofu Celebrates Birthday Anniversary With Orphans In Orphanage Homes… Appreciates God For His Grace, Mercy

It was joy unspeakable for the residents and officials of Great Saints Orphanage home Issele-Uku and Marymount House, Lumen Christi Family Motherless Babies Home, Asaba on Saturday, June 24, 2023, as the Chairman, Delta State Civil Service Commission, Chief Nkem Okwuofu, visited the homes where she celebrated her birthday anniversary with the orphans in grand style.

Okwuofu who was accompanied by her biological and political children, including Hon. Daniel Odigie Odinigwe and the Executive Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government, Hon. Kevin Okwechime, was warmly received by the inhabitants and officials at the two homes visited.

Food and gift items, which included bags of rice, tubers of yam, cartons of noodles, cartons of milk and beverages, cartons of tomatoes, cartons of toiletries, packs of soft drinks, packs of bottled water, and birthday Cakes, were presented to the homes by the celebrant, Dame Nkem Okwuofu for the upkeep of the children.

The children in sincere appreciation, sang songs of praise to the Lord God Almighty for sustaining and upholding the life of the celebrant, even as they prayed to God to continue to give her good health and many more joyous years ahead.

Addressing the orphans, Dame Okwuofu said that she decided to celebrate and rejoice with them as she marks her birthday anniversary, declaring that it gives her inner joy celebrating her birthday with them.

Okwuofu affirmed that God has been faithful and merciful to her, adding that her coming was to extend the love of God to them in appreciation for the Love God in His infinite mercy has shown to her.

While praying for the children, Okwuofu appreciated the proprietors, Mr. Emeke Ezagbor, Rev. Fr. David Mario, and the handlers of the orphans in the two homes, urging them not to relent in the good work they are doing for humanity, noting that God’s reward will always locate them.

 

The Children and the officials of the homes later joined Dame Nkem Okwuofu in the Cutting of the birthday Cake as coordinated by Hon. Charles Ogedi, the President General, Obomkpa Development Union, Obomkpa.

Earlier that morning, Dame Okwuofu, a renowned political leader in the State, was at the Government House Chapel, where she was joined by the Governor of the State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and other top political leaders for a special early morning Thanksgiving Service, where specials prayers were offered to commemorate her birthday and hearty congratulations were warmly extended to her by the Delta State Governor and the political leaders present at the Service.
