The first class graduate of music said his decision to go back to school at the age of 63 was quite challenging, pointing out that it only proved that age was not a barrier to anyone determined to succeed in life.

Another former Commissioner in the state, Barr Newworld Safugha, also participated in the convocation, with a Degree of Masters in Law.

Safugha said it felt great to be part of the convocation ceremony, having missed out of the event years back at the University of Jos where he bagged his First Degree in Law.

He called on public officers to make time for self development through education so that they could have a career to fall back on later in life.

The former Commissioner for Energy paid tribute to the immediate past Vice Chancellor of the Delta State University, Abraka, Prof Victor Peretomode, the late Prof Martins and a classmate of his in the University of Jos, Dr Peter Kasoku, for their roles in shaping his career in Law
