Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State, on Wednesday April 22, 2020 approved the appointment of Mrs. Joy Enwa as the new Accountant-General of the state.
Mrs Joy Enwa’s appointment was sequel to the retirement of the former Accountant general of the State, Mr. Cyril Agbele from the Civil Service.
A public announcement signed by the State Director of Information, Dona Obuseh, says the appointment takes effect from April 20, 2020.
Mrs. Enwa until her new appointment was the Director of Accounts in the Accountant General’s Office.
“It is hereby announced for the information of the general public, particularly Deltans, that His Excellency, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State, has approved the appointment of Mrs Joy Enwa, hitherto Director of Accounts in the Accountant General’s Office, Asaba as the new Accountant-General of Delta State.
“The appointment takes effect from Monday, 20th April, 2020”, the statement read.
The tenure of the erstwhile Accountant General, Cyril Agbele reportedly expired since April 8th 2020.
