Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Ndudi Elumelu has said that the mammoth Crowd of Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) supporters that turned out on Friday, January 13, 2023 for the Party’s Local Government Area Campaign rallies in Ika South and Ika North East local Government areas, was significant indication that PDP remains on ground and dominant in Ika Federal Constituency, Delta State.
Elumelu who joined the PDP Vice-Presidential Candidate and Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa as well as the Party Campaign trail to the two Ika Local Government Areas, maintained that the massive response by the people was an obvious statement of profound appreciation to the Governor and the party, for doing well in bringing dividend of democracy for them.
“The significance of the mammoth Crowd of PDP Supporters witnessed in the two Ika Local Government areas today clearly shows that PDP is on ground in Ika Federal Constituency. It also shows that they appreciate the fact that their son is the governor of the state and now is being promoted as the vice-president of Nigeria under the platform of the PDP.
“Again, the significant is that the response of the people by way of their turnout unprecedentedly, clearly, also shows that the person of His Excellency Senator Dr Ifeanyinachukwu Arthur Okowa has continuously done very well in bringing good dividends of democracy to the people and the best way for the people to reciprocate was what we saw today both in Ika South and Ika North East.
“It was a way of saying thank you, we believed in you, we are with you, we are for you, we are by you, and we are PDP. These were the statements the people of Ika South and Ika North East made today, clearly, a statement of appreciation to the PDP and the Governor and I am particularly impressed and delighted,” the Minority Leader said.
The renowned Federal Law Maker thanked the People of Ika Federal Constituency and Deltans as a whole for believing in the PDP and in their uncommon support for the Governor who, he noted has established peaceful and cordial as well as harmonious relationships with all, across the three Senatorial districts in the state, in all segments and in all sectors, in the past seven years.
“Let me also tell Deltans that a call is on them to show PDP and the world that they are happy that their son has been selected to be the future vice-president of this great nation. There are no better ways to show that, than to come out en-masse just as the massive organic crowd we have been witnessing in all the places we have gone, to vote for PDP.
“Voting for PDP overwhelmingly, can only be possible only by way of all supporters of PDP going to pick their PVCs and ensure that they are armed with it to vote in PDP to rescue and rebuild the Country, Nigeria,” Elumelu stated.
