The immediate past Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, OON, has congratulated the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, on the occasion of his third anniversary in office, describing his administration as a shining example of purposeful leadership, inclusive governance and impactful development.
Elumelu, in a congratulatory message made available to journalists, commended Governor Oborevwori for his remarkable investments in human capital and infrastructure development across the 25 Local Government Areas and the three Senatorial Districts of the State in line with his administration’s MORE Agenda with Renewed Hope.
He praised the Governor for his humility, discipline, inclusiveness and prudent management of the resources of the State, noting with admiration that the administration has continued to execute meaningful projects and programmes without resorting to borrowing.
“Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has shown himself to be a God-fearing, hardworking and visionary leader who continues to use the privilege of office to advance peace, development and prosperity for all Deltans with humility and sincerity of purpose,” Elumelu stated.
The former Minority Leader highlighted the administration’s achievements in critical sectors including infrastructure, healthcare, education, youth and women empowerment, employment generation, human capital development, as well as peace and security.
He particularly applauded the Governor’s commitment to inclusive infrastructure development across riverine, rural and urban communities, stressing that the construction and inauguration of the 4.8-kilometre Oko-Amakom/Oko-Obiokpu/Oko-Anala Road in Oshimili South Local Government Area within the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency remains one of the most historic and commendable interventions in the area.
Elumelu noted that the project, which is the first phase of the road project, has brought immense relief and socio-economic transformation to the benefiting communities, adding that the Governor’s dedication to equitable development has continued to strengthen public confidence in his administration.
“For three years, Governor Oborevwori has remained focused and untiring in his determination to move Delta State forward. His wisdom, calm disposition and cordial relationship with the Federal Government have continued to earn him national respect and recognition, while also attracting positive outcomes for the people of the State,” he said.
He further observed that the scale and spread of infrastructural development under the Oborevwori administration have further reassured Deltans of the Governor’s sincerity and commitment to the Renewed Hope with MORE Agenda.
Elumelu also commended members of the State Executive Council, the Speaker and members of the Delta State House of Assembly for their loyalty, support and commitment towards the successful implementation of the Governor’s Renewed Hope with MORE Agenda mantra.
The former Minority Leader congratulated the Governor on behalf of the entire Elumelu family, his political associates, the people of Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency and Deltans in general.
He prayed God Almighty to continue to grant Governor Oborevwori divine health, uncommon strength, wisdom and greater grace to continue delivering more dividends of democracy to the people of Delta State.
