Elumelu Constituency Project: Construction Work on NYSC Orientation Camp Road, Issele-Uku To Commence Fully Next Week

Arrangement has been concluded to commence fully, the construction work on the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp Road, at Issele-Uku in Aniocha North Local Government Area, Delta State.

The road which has been in a deplorable state for a while now, has been a source of great concern to the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu who represents Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency in the House.

The Contractor of the project which is a Constituency project of the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, has been scheduled to fully mobilise to the project site on Tuesday June 14, 2022 with a completion period of two weeks.

Within this period of two weeks, residents and those doing business along the road will no doubt be discomforted and vehicles plying the road are being advised to use alternative routes leading to their destinations.

The Rt. Honourable Minority Leader has assured residents and users of the road a speedy delivery of the project by the contractors, within the two weeks period, while ensuring strict adherence to specifications and contractual agreements.

The Minority Leader regrets the inconveniences the road rehabilitation work will cost residents living alone the road as well as users, even as he believes that at the end of the two weeks period, the gain will at least outweigh the pain.

The Minority Leader therefore urges the people living or doing business along the road to cooperate with the contractors as they work towards the rehabilitation of this important road for their benefit.

In the same vein, work on the Onicha-Uku/Idumuje-Unor road project will resume in earnest as well as the commencement of the construction work on the Idumu-Ogo/Onicha-Uku road, next week.

Necessary arrangement has been put in place by the office of the Minority Leader for the contractors to fully mobilise to the sites.

Again, the Minority Leader urges residents of Onicha-Uku, Idumuje-Unor and Idumu-Ogo to give their full support and cooperate with the contractors as they work to deliver the projects according to specifications and in record time.

Sir Tony Anyaegbunem
