Elumelu Donates Motorized Wheelchairs To Physically Challenged Persons

The Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon. Ndudi Elumelu has donated four Motorized Wheelchairs to four physically challenged persons from his Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, Delta State.

The gesture was in fulfillment of the Minority Leader’s promise to the physically challenged persons recently when he had an encounter with them in a function in Asaba.

Rt. Hon Ndudi Elumelu, who was represented by a Member of the Delta State House of Assembly, representing Aniocha South State Constituency, Hon Augustine Chikezie formally presented the customized wheelchairs to the physically Challenged persons on Monday June 20, 2022,  in a brief, but heartwarming and  inspiring ceremony at his Constituency Office in Asaba, the Delta State capital.

Presenting the Items, Hon Augustine Chikezie commended the Minority Leader for donating the motorized wheelchairs to the beneficiaries and said that he has continued to do the best he could in ensuring that those with disabilities are not left out in the scheme of things as he proactively and effectively represents the people of Aniocha/Oshimili in the House of Representatives.

Hon Chikezie affirmed and expressed delight that the noble gifts by the Federal Lawmaker were fulfilled barely one month, he had an emotional encounter  with the  physically challenged in a function, having seen their struggle and energy being exhausted on a daily basis, using the manual wheelchair to  go about their daily business.

While praying for the beneficiaries, Hon Chikezie urged them to constantly make use of the automatic wheelchair, noting that with constant usage, they will be accustomed to its operation, even as he called on them to always remember the Minority Leader in their prayers.

Those that were presented with the  automated Wheelchairs included;  Mr Austine Juwe from Obomkpa, Miss Anthonia Onwueme from Ezi in  Aniocha North, Miss Philomena Kowean from Oshimili South and Mr Onwueme Ozoemenem from Ejeme-Aniogor in Aniocha South Local Government Area.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr Austine Juwe while expressing his joy appreciated the Minority Leader for the gesture, and said that Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu has in no small measure helped in alleviating their pains  by making it possible for them to move around effortlessly.

While commending the Honourable Minority Leader for fulfilling his promise he made to them a few weeks ago, Mr. Juwe prayed for his continued success in his political aspirations and pledged their full support in ensuring an overwhelming victory for him in the forthcoming general election in 2023.

Also at the event included;  the  former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Aniocha South, Hon Joe Adigwe, the Senior Legislative Assistant to the Minority Leader, Ms Bridget Modebe, the Director General, DG, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu Campaign Organization, Hon Bar, Tony Okeibunor DG and Mr Chiedu Tugwa.
