Former Minority Leader of the House of Representatives and APC candidate for Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, has continued to strengthen his engagement with grassroots stakeholders ahead of the 2027 general elections, as he met with women from Oshimili South Local Government Area during a busy weekend of political, business and social engagements.
Elumelu met with women drawn from the 319 polling units across the 11 wards of Oshimili South at his campaign office in Asaba, Delta State, where they discussed issues surrounding the forthcoming elections and the need for sustained grassroots participation.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the women to express their views, reaffirm their solidarity and demonstrate their readiness to participate actively in the political process as the 2027 elections approach.
The gathering was marked by a strong display of solidarity, with the participants expressing confidence in Elumelu’s candidacy and reaffirming their readiness to support his bid to return to the House of Representatives.
Addressing the gathering, Elumelu appreciated the women for their continued support and engagement, while emphasising the importance of unity, inclusiveness and purposeful representation in advancing the interests of the constituency.
The meeting further highlighted the growing importance of women as a formidable force in grassroots mobilisation, particularly as political parties and candidates intensify preparations for the 2027 elections.
Beyond his political engagements, Elumelu also took time off his busy schedule to attend the grand opening of Redson Boutique in Asaba, owned by renowned businessman and politician, Dr. Hilary Ibegbulem, and his wife.
He also toured JCD Royal Hotel in Asaba, owned by Chief Adimabua Ajaka, where he inspected the facility and commended the investment and enterprise behind the establishment.
Earlier in the weekend, the renowned Politician travelled to Warri, where he attended the funeral service and burial ceremony of Mama Felicia Olumewo Areyenka, mother of the Delta State APC Chairman, Chief Solomon Areyenka.
The series of engagements reflected Elumelu’s active participation in political, business and social activities across the state, while providing opportunities for him to interact with stakeholders and members of the public as preparations for the 2027 general elections gather momentum.
