The Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu has assured the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, an overwhelming victory in the 2023 general elections.
Speaking during the PDP Presidential Campaign rally held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 in Asaba, Delta State, Elumelu expressed the appreciation of the people of the State to the Party and the Presidential Candidate for choosing the State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa as the Party’s Vice-Presidential Candidate, saying that for the honour, the people of the State will ensure a sweeping victory as never before, for the PDP.
A visibly elated Elumelu, who is also the PDP House of Representative Candidate for Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency election in Delta State, noted that the massive turnout of Deltans to the rally was in demonstration of the irrevocable determination of the people of the State to ensure a resounding victory for Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa as well as other Candidates of the PDP in the 2023 general elections.
“For you to have chosen our son, our father, our performing leader, our performing Governor, the Ekwueme of the universe, Mr. President in waiting Delta is behind you and victory is sure.
“You found us worthy and trustworthy to go with you in the area of uniting and unifying Nigeria; to go with you in the area of providing health revolution; to go with you in solving the issue of incessant ASUU Strike; to go with you to restructure Nigeria. Mr. President in waiting, Deltans are grateful to you.
“So, you don’t need to worry because the Ijaws are ready for you, the Isokos are ready for you, the Itsekiris are ready for you, the Urhobos are ready for you, the Aniomas are ready for you. Our fathers and all the men are saying that you have won, the women are saying that you have won, the Youths are saying you have won, Deltans are saying you have won. We are behind you; God is behind you and victory is sure” Elumelu stated to a rousing affirmation from the massive crowd.
He commended Deltans for coming out in their numbers as never before to honour the Presidential Candidate and the Party and urged them to further prove their love for the PDP by translating their support to massive votes for the Party in the February 25, 2023 Presidential and National Assembly elections as well as the March 11, 2023 Governorship and State Assembly elections.
