Ex-Senate President, Wabara now PDP BoT chairman as Walid steps aside

Ex-Senate President Adolphus Wabara has emerged Chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as Senator Walid Jibrin, resigned.
He has also been named the Political Adviser of the National Chairman of the PDP, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu.
Wabara, who was before now, the Secretary of the PDP BoT, would also be appointed to the presidential campaign council of the PDP.
The BoT chairman announced his resignation at the ongoing Trustees’ meeting on Thursday in Abuja.
Jibrin said he resigned in order to resolve some of the knotty issues confronting the opposition party, especially the leadership crisis.
There have been growing demands for the resignation of Jibrin and the party’s National Chairman, Iyorcha Ayu, since the emergence of Atiku Abubakar as presidential candidate.
