Funkekeme Urges LGs, MDAs In Delta State To Uphold Tenets Of SERVICOM For Effective Service Delivery, As He Visits Aniocha North LGC

Delta State Local Government Authorities, and other relevant Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies, have been urged to uphold the tenets of Servicom for effective service delivery in the State.

The Senior Policy Adviser, (SPA) to the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Funkekeme Solomon, expressed this on Monday, May 6, 2024 during an official visit to Aniocha North Local Government Council, Issele-Uku.

He said Local Government Councils in partnership with the State government are to work towards good Service delivery with a view to showing efficiency and effectiveness that speaks volume of Government positive impacts on the citizens

While emphasizing the need for effective service delivery in achieving government set goals for the benefit of the people, the Senior Policy Adviser said the State Government was set to reignite the Servicom Desk Officers at the Councils to up their activities in achieving the MORE agenda of the State Governor through good, urgent and acceptable service delivery.

Rt. Hon. Funkekeme Solomon noted that Service delivery is Timely, Acceptable, Fair, Honest, Effective and Transparent.

He decried the ugly trend of most workers who embark on “School Runs” without returning to the office thereby abusing such privileges, even as he charged Local Government Authorities and other relevant Government agencies to put up measures in checking such ugly trends in the work place.

On the Senior Policy Adviser’s entourage were the functioning Permanent Secretary, PS, Labour Relations and Servicom; Mrs. Uche Onwusanya, and the Special Assistant, SA in the office of the Senior Policy Adviser, Mr.Pius Mordi.

Speaking on behalf of the Management and Staff of Aniocha North Local Government, the Acting Chairman/HPM , Mr. Bertrand Ojeah, commended the Senior Policy Adviser and his Team for coming to the Council.

He said indeed the visit of the Senior Policy Adviser will in no small measure reignite the Servicom Desk Officers in the Council for more effective service delivery with a new vigor in the Local Government Area.

The acting Chairman of the Local Government emphasized that the Council was ready to key into every required acceptable Servicom procedures with a view to achieving the MORE agenda of the state Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori.

According to the Acting Chairman, ” Service delivery is not just by words but by how you render service to the public and when you render it properly, it will speak well for the Council.”

The Aniocha North Local Government Council Servicom Desk Officers include; Mr. Festus Kurue, Assistant Director of Administration, Mrs. Franca Nwaokolo, Assistant Director of Accounts and Mr. Francis Njioku, Chief Admin Officer.

Present at the event include, the Deputy Director of Administration in the Council, Mr. Augustine Onwaeze and other Heads of Department in the Council.

Highlight of the visit was the official presentation of the relevant Servicom Guide by Rt. Hon. Funkekeme Solomon to the Acting Chairman for effective service delivery in the Council.
