Justice Oseji Burial: Aniocha North Council Boss commends Okowa, CJN

The Executive Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government, Hon Kevin Okwechime has expressed the gratitude of the people of Aniocha North Local Government to the Delta State Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa and the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad, for their critical involvement in the burial of the late Justice of the Supreme Court, Justice Samuel Oseji.

Hon. Okwechime spoke with Journalists on Friday at Idumuje- Unor, after the funeral Service in honour of the late Justice Oseji.

He said that the Governor has shown leadership, love and empathy to the deceased family, saying that leaders and the people of Aniocha North have noted the Governor’s kind gestures and will remain eternally grateful to him.

“Right from the breaking of the news of the demise of our Father, brother and illustrious son, till today, His Excellency, the Governor has shown great concern and love to his beloved family.

“As a people, we commend him for ensuring a week long befitting burial program for the eminent Jurist who committed the greater part of his life to the development of jurisprudence in Nigeria,” the Council boss stated.

While appreciating the Chief Justice of the Federation, Hon. Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad, and the Justices of the Supreme court for moving the Supreme court to Delta State, particularly, Aniocha North Local Government Area for the purpose of honouring their departed colleague, Hon. Okwechime commended the President, Court of Appeal and Justices of the Court of Appeal as well as the Chief Judge of Delta State, Hon. Justice Tessy Diai for their show of love showcased throughout the week long burial activities, praying that God will reward their good gestures.

Okwechime prayed for the repose  of the soul of the later Hon. Justice Samuel Oseji and in the same vein asked the Almighty God to give the wife, Dr. Mrs. Mininim Oseji and the entire family the fortitude to bear the passing of their beloved husband, father and Patriarch.
