Ndukwe Appoints Odogwu Executive Secretary LEA Oshimili North

The Executive Chairman of Oshimili North Local Government, Hon. Louis Ndukwe, has approved the appointment of a distinguished educationist, Elder Odogwu Augustine Okine as the substantive Executive Secretary, Oshimili North Local Education Authority.

Elder Odogwu, a graduate of University of Ibadan from Ibusa in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, was born on March 6, 1961.

He also attended Anambra State College of Education Awka for his National Certificate of Education, NCE, and Institute of Physical Education for his Advanced Certificate in Education, ACE, having been trained as a teacher at Saint Thomas Teachers Training College, Ibusa where he obtained his Teachers Certificate, TC II, between 1978 and 1983.

Odogwu, who is an Elder of the Apostolic Church Nigeria has taught in so many Primary and Secondary Schools in Delta State as a classroom teacher and Headmaster Grade II before he was deplored to the Oshimili North Local Education Authority where he headed the Sports department of the Authority. He retired voluntary in 1997 as an accomplished educationist.

On retirement, Elder Odogwu continued to make himself available for the service of his father land. He has been a Member of the Delta State Scholarship Board, Special Assistant to the Executive Chairman of Oshimili North Local Government, One time Delta State Liaison Officer for Ward Five Oshimili North Local Government Area and one time Zonal Secretary Nigerian Union of Teachers as well as one time Chairmanship aspirant for the Oshimili North Local Government under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Until his recent appointment, Elder Odogwu Augustine Okine is the Manager of Edo/Delta Expert Securities Nigeria Limited and he is happily married with Children.
