NYSC Closes Social Activities In Camp With Cultural Carnival

The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC Orientation Camp Issele-Uku in Delta State, has closed all social activities for the 2021 Batch A Stream 2 with a grand cultural carnival.

This biggest social event in camp took place on Saturday May 5, 2021, thereby bringing all social activities ahead of corps members posting out of camp to an end.

The State Coordinator, Mrs. Olutayo Samuel who was elegantly dressed in her native attire, congratulated officials and corps members for being in high spirit for service to their fatherland.

She appreciated various platoons for their creativity and being able to harness the various Nigerian cultures into a big camp festival.

Samuel affirmed that the corps members indeed made the camp a fun, which she said was suggestive of the fact that the various peoples of Nigeria are still knitted together for an indissoluble unity of our nation.

Going forward, different platoons showcased their cultures to the admiration of all.

In the end, the panel of judges announced Platoon 2 as the winner of the carnival competition with 84 percent score, while Platoon 6 emerged second position with 80 percent score.

Corps members also used the platform to publicly appreciate the State Coordinator, Mrs. Olutayo Samuel for being a loving, caring and dutiful mother in spite of her high propensity for discipline.
