Okowa CPS, Ifeajika Hails Aniagwu’s Appointment As PDP PCC Spokesman … Affirms Governor Wike As Strong Pillar in PDP

The appointment of the Commissioner for Information, Delta State Mr Charles Aniagwu as a Spokesman for the PDP Presidential Campaign Council has been described as a reward for hardwork and exceptional performance in information dissemination.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Delta State Governor Mr Olisa Ifeajika stated this while speaking on a Delta TV flagship programme TV Guest in Asaba.

Mr Ifeajika said Mr Aniagwu has remained an icon in information gathering and dissemination based on his pedigree in marketing the policy thrust of his boss Governor Okowa who is now the Vice Presidential Candidate of the PDP.

He said the intra party squabbles that cropped up after the presidential primaries of the PDP will be resolved amicably affirming that the governor of Rivers State Mr Nyesom Nwike remains a strong pillar in the party that must be carried along in the rescue mission of the party.

While saying that the emergence of Senator Okowa as running mate to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar was divine and a boost to the PDP, he called on Nigerians to give the party a chance to clean the mess the All Progressives Congress APC brought on Nigerians in the last seven years.

He lampooned the Information Minister Alhaji Lai Mohammed for claiming that government was winning the war against  insecurity pointing out that the rail system and major roads across the country has become dens of insurgents and robbers.

Mr Ifeajika said the Vice Presidential Candidate of the PDP Senator Okowa will bring alot to the table when he gets into Aso Rock including the strategies he has used to transform all sectors of Delta State coupled with the versed experience of Alhaji Abubakar who in his time as Vice President championed Policies that brought the economy of Nigeria to enviable height.

The CPS said the failure of APC to deliver on its electioneering campaign promises has made the job easier for the PDP to step in and rescue the nation from its myriads of challenges.

He said harvest of more projects in Delta will kick off soon as so many landmark projects have been completed and awaiting inauguration and called on residents of the State to redouble their support for the Senator Okowa led administration to pave way for more development.

He commended the federal government for heeding to the suggestion of Governor Okowa to engage host communities in the surveillance contract of oil facilities thus resulting in the appointment of Chief Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo to handle the contract.

He advocated for more attention to be given to oil bearing communities in the award of contracts and execution of landmark projects as a way to calm agitated minds in the Niger Delta region.
