Onyeme Says CAN Is Playing Vital Roles In The Country 

Deputy Governor Monday Onyeme of Delta State, has said that the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, is playing vital roles in the country.
According to Onyeme, CAN has a duty of praying for Nigeria and the organization which comprises Spiritual Leaders should not relent in praying for the country.
He specifically, noted that the prayers of CAN is working in the administration of the Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration.
“I thank CAN for the roles that it is playing in our country.
“One of the duties of the Executive Committee of CAN as our Spiritual Leaders is to pray for us; we are enjoying the benefits of the prayers and do not relent in your prayers.
“Prayers can never be enough and we thank you for doing that and for coordinating the activities of Christians in the country.
“This administration is running an inclusive government and be rest assured that we are building on the successes of our predecessors because our administration is giving MORE to our people, Deltans.
“Be rest assured that with your prayers, we shall not deviate in providing more democratic dividends to Deltans.
“Thank you for your prayers, God bless you.”
Earlier, the Chairman of CAN, Delta State chapter, Senior Apostle Sylvester Okorote, in an address, stated that the leadership of CAN in the state were in the deputy governor’s office to felicitate with him on his successful assumption of office and to offer prayers to him, the government and people of Delta State.
Highpoint of the visit was a prayer session where the government of Delta State, peace and security of the state, among others, were handed over to God.
The Deputy Chief of Staff, Government House, Sir Christopher Osakwe, was among government functionaries who witnessed the visit.
