Oshimil North PDP Leaders Endorse Esewezie For Second Tenure As Council Chairman

Immediate past Chairman of Oshimili North Local Government, Delta State, Hon Innocent Esewezie has been endorsed as the PDP candidate for the next Local Government Election in the area.

The endorsement was In appreciation for his outstanding performance in office as Chairman of Oshimili North Local Government Council.

The endorsement took place at the Okpanam residence of the LGA PDP Chairman, Chief Nduka Ogwude, where the leaders converged to welcome back some top members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) after their defection back to PDP at Akwukwu-Igbo, the local government headquarters.

The motion for Esewezie’s endorsement was moved by one of the returnees and former two time Oshimili North Local Government Council Chairman, Hon Louis Ndukwe, seconded by Mr Ojei Ukoh and unanimously adopted when put to voice vote by the Party Chairman, Chief Nduka Ogwude.

In his remarks while moving the motion, Hon. Louis Ndukwe noted that the immediate past Council Chairman not only performed beyond expectations, but also did the party proud.

He said Hon Esewezie took development to all parts of the LGA and appreciated all the party leaders for keeping the house in order, which made the party stronger and more appealing than he left it.

The meeting commended the LGA Party Chairman, Chief Nduka Ogwude, for leading the party aright, and thanked some party leaders, including the member representing Oshimili North in the State Assembly, Hon Frank Esenwa, former Commissioner for Lands and Surveys, Barr Kate Onianwa, former Chief Press Secretary to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Mr. Olisa Ifeajika, the Vice Chancellor of the Delta State University, Prof Andy Egwunyenga, among others, for their contributions to the growth of PDP in Oshimili North.

Responding, Hon Esewezie thanked the Party Chairman and leaders for the endorsement, which he said was a vote of confidence, promising to do more if given the opportunity for a second term.
