Oshimili North Ultra Modern Market Due For Commissioning in November, Says Ndukwe

Contractors handling the construction of the Oshimili North Ultra Modern Market, Okpanam, in Oshimili North local Government Area, Delta State, have intensified work with a view to meeting the October deadline for the completion of the project.

The Market project, a private/public partnership initiative of the Hon. Louis Ndukwe administration in Oshimili North Local Government, in collaboration with Candour Capital Nigeria Limited, is about to be the biggest market in the Delta North Senatorial district of Delta State.

The project which comprises 300 Lock up shops and 126 open market shops, has already reached an advanced stage, when cshowcasenews.com visited the site, on Tuesday, September 22nd, with about 200 of the lockup shops and the entire open market shops ready for allocation.

In a chat with cshowcasenews.com, the Chairman of Oshimili North Local Government, Hon. Louis Ndukwe said that the market project which at completion, will have Modern amenities, will be commissioned in November 2020, adding that it is going to be one of the signature projects that his administration will bequeath to the people of the area and the state in general.

The council boss maintained that the people of Oshimili North and the Local Government Council will have a lot to gain from the market, insisting that the shops which are selling at the moment to willing buyers on first come basis, must be put to properly use by the buyers.

“This project is going to be one of the best things that have happened in the history of this Local Government Area. The market which is situated at a very good location close to the Airport axis on Asaba-Onicha Expressway, will have fire services, banks; we already have four banks that have indicated interest, police post, CCTV, constant water supply and intra and inter state motor park, to take care of the influx of passengers traveling to Issele-Uku, Agbor, Warri, Lagos, Onitsha, Port Harcourt, Calabar and the northern part of the country,” the council boss stated.

Hon. Ndukwe also disclosed that apart from the Ultra Modern Market, a good number of projects initiated by his administration in the Local Government Area, due to be completed between October and November will also be commissioned  before Christmas, affirming that his administration has delivered on the mandate given to him by the People of Oshimili North.
