Executive Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government, Delta State, Hon. Kevin Okwechime has provided 200 sets of security uniforms to vigilante groups in the 18 communities in the Local Government Area.
Hon Okwechime on Thursday, January 12, 2023 presented the sets of uniform to the Chairman and leaders of vigilante groups in a brief ceremony at the council Secretariat, Issele-Uku.
The sets of security Uniform included, Shirts, trousers, belts, boots, caps, and line yields.
Presenting the items, the Council boss represented by the Secretary to the Local Government, Mr. Kennedy Okoh, commended the leaders and members of Aniocha North Vigilante Groups for their efforts in ensuring the security of life and property in the area.
He said the provision of the sets of the security Uniform, was in line with his administration’s determination to continue to boost and encourage the local security outfits.
Okwechime assured that his administration will continue to partner and encourage them in their voluntary vigilante duties, revealing their efforts as a boost to the police and other security agencies efforts.
Receiving the uniforms on behalf of the vigilante groups, the Chairman of Aniocha North Vigilante Group, comprising all the eighteen community vigilante groups in the area, Mr. Oseha Johnson, expressed appreciation of Leaders and members of the Group to the Chairman for the provision of the security materials and said it would go a long way in helping them in the effective performance of their day to day security assignment.
Highpoint of the event was the formal presentation of the sets of security Uniform and decoration of the Chairman of the Group and his Deputy with the line yield by the representative of the Executive Chairman of the Local Government, Mr. Kennedy Okoh.
