Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Aniocha North Local Government Area, has commended the Appeal Court Judgment affirming the overwhelming victory of Senator Ned Nwoko as the Distinguished Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
The Party in the area described the judgment as heartwarming, cheering and another affirmation of the wishes of the people of Delta North Senatorial District.
In a statement on Thursday, November 2, 2023, the Chairman of PDP in Aniocha North, Dr. Charles Ochei said Delta North Senatorial District remains a strong hold of the PDP in Delta State and said the court cases challenging the overwhelming victory of Senator (Prince) Ned Nwoko was a mere distraction, waste of time and resources.
While congratulating Distinguished Senator Ned Nwoko on the Appeal Court Victory, Dr. Ochei appreciated the people of Aniocha North Local Government area and indeed the entire people of Delta North Senatorial District for standing firm with the party and Senator Ned Nwoko during the election and all through the period of litigation.
“On behalf of our Party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Aniocha North, we sincerely welcome and commend the appeal court ruling, affirming our party’s victory, the overwhelming victory of our candidate, Distinguished Senator Ned Nwoko.
“We congratulate our beloved Distinguish Senator Ned Nwoko and the entire people of Delta North Senatorial District who came out en-masse to vote for him and the PDP at the Election.
“The appeal court judgment of Tuesday October 30, 2023 is another attestation and affirmation of your wishes which you gladly expressed on the day of election where you demonstrated that Delta North remains the stronghold of the PDP,” Dr. Charles Ochei said.
He maintained that with the end of litigation, the Distinguished Senator Ned Nwoko will consecrate the more in giving the people of the Senatorial District an all-embracing and all-encompassing representation, never seen before in the history of the District, at the Senate.
