Political activities intensified in Katsina State as the Tompolo’s PBAT Door-to-Door Movement inaugurated its state and Local Government Area executives, signalling the commencement of its grassroots mobilisation drive ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The inauguration ceremony, which attracted Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umar Radda, members of the State Executive Council, political stakeholders, party supporters and members of the movement from across the state, marked a significant step towards expanding the organisation’s grassroots presence.
The movement is expected to deploy its door-to-door strategy across Katsina’s Local Government Areas, wards and communities, with the objective of taking its campaign for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu directly to households and engaging voters at the grassroots.
The Grand Patron of the movement, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, was represented at the ceremony by the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services, High Chief Kestin Pondi, Ph.D.
Pondi charged the newly inaugurated executives to embrace the responsibility entrusted to them and work relentlessly to establish the movement in every part of the state.
He urged members to deepen grassroots engagement and collaborate with political stakeholders, traditional and community leaders, youths and other relevant groups to broaden the movement’s reach and mobilise support for President Tinubu and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to him, the door-to-door initiative is intended to create a direct channel of engagement with ordinary Nigerians, allowing members of the movement to communicate government policies and programmes while also interacting with citizens at the community level.
Pondi emphasised the need for discipline, unity, commitment and sustained mobilisation among the newly inaugurated executives, noting that effective grassroots organisation would be critical to the success of the movement ahead of the 2027 elections.
He also called on the executives to maintain close coordination with existing party structures and ensure that their activities complement broader efforts aimed at strengthening the APC at the grassroots.
The inauguration further reinforced the movement’s commitment to President Tinubu’s re-election bid and its determination to contribute to the expansion of the APC’s support base across Katsina State.
With the inauguration concluded, the Tompolo’s PBAT Door-to-Door Movement is expected to commence full-scale mobilisation across the state, taking its activities to Local Government Areas, wards and communities.
The development adds to the growing political activities across the country as various support groups and political organisations intensify preparations, build grassroots structures and mobilise support ahead of the 2027 general elections.
