2027: Elumelu Rallies APC Leaders on Reconciliation as Aniocha/Oshimili Adopts United Front for Electoral Victory
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, Delta State has taken a major step towards consolidating its post-primary unity, with party leaders, elected officials, stakeholders and grassroots members resolving to close ranks and work collectively for the victory of all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.
The resolution was reached on Friday July 3, 2026 at a strategic leaders and stakeholders’ meeting convened by the APC Candidate for Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives,Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, OON, at the MOD Event Centre, Asaba.
The gathering marked the first constituency-wide APC meeting following the party’s recently concluded primary elections.

Addressing the meeting, Elumelu described the gathering as strategic for sincere reflection, reconciliation and renewed commitment to the collective aspirations of the party.
He said the objective was not merely to celebrate the successful conduct of the primaries, but also for sincere and honest deliberation with one another, heal grievances arising from the contests and reposition the APC for sweeping victory at the polls.
He urged party members to see themselves as one united political family whose common interest should always supersede individual ambitions, stressing that the strength of the APC would depend on its ability to remain peaceful, united and focused.
“We have come together today because we are one APC family. This is the first meeting after our primary election, and there is no reason to pretend. We must speak frankly to ourselves, reconcile where necessary and come out stronger as one indivisible political family. Our focus should be the progress of Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency and the success of our party,” he said.
Elumelu announced that the MOD Event Centre, which he built, would henceforth be available free of charge to APC members in the constituency for their personal events, describing the gesture as his modest contribution towards strengthening unity and fellowship among party faithful.
Congratulating all candidates who emerged from the APC primaries, from the presidential candidate to the House of Assembly flag bearers, the renowned Politician maintained that every contest naturally produces winners and those who do not succeed, noting that true political maturity is demonstrated by how one responds after defeat.
Drawing from his personal political journey, the former Minority Leader of the House of Representatives recounted how he had experienced both victory and defeat at different times without abandoning the fold or working against its interest.
“I have won elections and I have also lost. I once lost a primary election to my own brother, yet I remained loyal and worked wholeheartedly for the party. We all eventually celebrated victory together, and our people benefited immensely from the uncommon development that followed.
“I also contested for governor and lost, but I never betrayed the party. I stayed, continued to contribute and remained committed because politics is about service, consistency and loyalty.”
He cautioned party members against allowing temporary disappointments to degenerate into bitterness or political betrayal, insisting that disagreements should always be resolved within the family.
“It is always better to disagree, reconcile and move forward together than to destroy what we have built. Let us forgive one another, remove every grudge from our hearts and embrace genuine reconciliation. Our love for the APC must inspire us to work for every candidate of the party.”
According to him, the ultimate achievement for APC members would be to proudly deliver overwhelming victories across the constituency in the next general elections.
“The greatest pride will be to say we delivered all our candidates. Whether it is six out of six or five out of five, what matters is that APC wins together.”
Expressing optimism about the future of the federal constituency, Elumelu said God was charting a new course for Aniocha/Oshimili and urged party members to embrace the vision with faith and commitment.
“God is doing something good in Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency. Better days are ahead for our people in every sector. Let us key into what God is doing and work together for the development of our constituency.”
He appealed to members to mobilise support for all APC candidates, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, himself; Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, Hon. Isaac Anwuzia, Hon. Bridget Anyafulu, Hon. Innocent Ifeanyichukwu Esewezie, Engr.
